MISRATA, Libya — Moammar Gadhafi’s blood-streaked body has been stashed in a commercial freezer at a shopping center as Libyans try to keep it away from crowds as they figure out where and when to bury the hated leader.
The Libyan dictator’s burial was delayed Friday after bloody images of his last moments raised questions over how exactly he died after being captured wounded, but alive.
Interim government officials also moved ahead on plans to “liberate Libya,” announcing “the decision has been taken,” an NTC official said.
The liberation was moved from Saturday to Sunday in the city of Benghazi, often referred to as the cradle of the revolution that overthrew Gadhafi, and not in the capital Tripoli, interim government officials told Reuters.
