Detroit Police are seeking information about a man who shot an AK47 out of the window of a stolen U-Haul pickup truck Tuesday, wounding three people.

Three 21-year-old men were standing in the 18300 block of Glastonbury at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday when shots came from a white U-Haul rental pickup truck that pulled up, according to Detroit Police crime logs released today. Both the driver, who fired the gun, and the passenger were wearing ski masks, Detroit Police Detective Sgt. Todd Eby said today.

“He leaned the AK47 out of the window and fired the rounds, striking the victims,” Eby said of the driver.

The three people wounded are expected to survive, Eby said. One of the men underwent a second surgery Wednesday, he added.
