Spud Webb Will Coach New York Stripper Team

Source: SportingNews.com

As an NBA player, Spud Webb received plenty attention as an undersized guard who wowed fans in 1986 by defeating the human highlight reel, Dominique Wilkins, in the NBA Dunk Contest.

Now, Webb is coaching a basketball team that is sure to get plenty of looks, but not for its ability to defend the perimeter, run the triangle offense or show patience in making the extra pass.

The 5-foot-7 Webb was announced Tuesday as a head coach—for Rick’s Cabaret/New York City—at the gentlemen’s club dubbed as the “No. 1 strip club in New York” by Playboy.com.

In an effort to provide basketball fans with entertainment while the NBA works toward getting the season started, the “sexy women’s team” was formed as part of the Rick’s Basketball Association, comprised of teams from Rick’s Cabaret International.

“These ladies are fabulous and have obvious talents and skills,” Webb said. “I can’t think of a better way to entertain long-suffering NBA fans.”
