First lady Michelle Obama turns 48 today, a milestone that her husband’s re-election campaign is using to rally supporters.
“I’m writing because our FLOTUS, Michelle, turns 48 on Tuesday, and I know I’m not her only fan out there,” the president wrote in a letter asking supporters to “join me in wishing her a happy birthday.”
“This fall, Michelle and I will have been married 20 years. The next 10 months will be harder than any we’ve experienced together, and I couldn’t do it without her. I know she’d love to hear from you today,” the president wrote.
No word yet on how the first lady plans to celebrate her birthday. She rang in the 47th last year with dinner with her husband at Wolfgang Puck’s Washington restaurant The Source.
