A Florida judge today ruled that George Zimmerman could be freed on $150,000 bond, but would be required to wear an electronic device.
The judge said, however, that he would not be immediately freed.
The neighborhood watch volunteer charged with killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, took the stand today at his bail hearing and apologized to the Martin family, who were also in court, for their son’s death.
In earlier testimony, his wife, Shellie, speaking by phone, says she is worried about his safety if he is freed, but that she has “no concerns whatsoever” about him being a danger to society.
