EXETER, NH - A man suspected of giving dozens of people hepatitis C made an appearance in federal court Tuesday.
David Kwiatkowski waived his right to a detention hearing in New Hampshire during his appearance.
Prosecutors said he is a “serial infector” who used his position as a medical technician to pass hepatitis C to patients at a hospital’s cardiac catheter lab.
They believe he injected himself with painkillers meant for the patients. Afterwards, the syringes were reused.
