The fundraising effort of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney brought in more than $100 million for the second month in a row, his campaign said Monday morning.
The $101.3 million haul is just shy of the campaign’s June fundraising, which reached $106.1 million.
Romney’s effort ended July with $185.9 million cash on hand, up from the $160 million in the campaign war chest at the end of June.
President Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, raised $75 million in July, marking the third consecutive month the president has been outraised by his Republican challenger. Obama’s similar alliance of committees raised $71 million in June.
