SHREVEPORT TIMES: Winnsboro Attack Victim Remains In Critical Condition

Sharmeka Moffitt, 20, of Winnsboro remains in critical condition today in the Regional Burn Center at LSU Hospital Shreveport.
Sharmeka Moffitt has opened her eyes and blinked to communicate with her family, said her mother Edna Moffitt in a release from the hospital.
Edna Moffitt expressed appreciation for the interest and prayers of well-wishers from around the region, but did not wish to release further details of her medical care today.
Sunday, Sharkmeka Moffitt was set afire by three unidentified assailants while walking in Civitan Park in Winnsboro. Her mother said the woman sustained burns to over 60 percent of her body.
