First Lady Michelle Obama spoke at a conference at the Hilton Chicago hotel Wednesday afternoon about gun violence in Chicago.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. With the exception of Barack Obama’s race speech in 2008, Michelle Obama’s speech today was the most touching, compassionate, heartfelt and inspiring speech I’ve heard by anyone in a leadership role in many years.
Michelle Obama really does get it. She knows the struggles and challenges faced by our children every day. And she also knows the economic and political neglect our communities are all too often shown by political leaders on both sides of the aisle.
Kudos to Michelle. And thanks to Roland Martin for posting this video.
