CLEVELAND, Ohio — Charles Ramsey, the Cleveland man who gained national recognition and cult-hero status for his part in the May 6 rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight after being held captive for a decade, has signed a deal to become a celebrity speaker.

Ramsey has signed on with Bruce Merrin’s Celebrity Speakers & Entertainment Bureau. Merrin said in a news release that he was captivated when he saw Ramsey’s interview with Anderson Cooper on his CNN show “Anderson Cooper 360” and another CNN program.

“The kind of typical speaking engagement we do would be in the $10,000 range. Some might be less, some might be more.”
