Shots Fired Inside Houston Intercontinental Airport

Shots have been fired inside Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport this afternoon, according to breaking news reports coming out of Houston.

Houston police say the shooting was self-inflicted and happened in a security checkpoint area, The Associated Press reports.

The shooter walked in and fired two shots in the air and then shot himself in the head with a pistol, police said.

Police said an air marshal fired at the suspect, but missed. That’s when the man pulled out a gun and shot himself, according to AP.
