PHILADELPHIA – A four-story building being demolished collapsed Wednesday on the edge of downtown, injuring 12 people. The fire commissioner said at least two people were still trapped in the rubble.
Twelve people were taken to local hospitals, where they were being treated for injuries that were not considered serious, Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers said.
Dozens of paramedics and fire crews were on the scene working to find those trapped, Ayers said.
CBS station KYW was over the scene where rescue crews were assisting people who were trapped under the rubble.
