CINCINNATI — Prosecutor Charlie Rubenstein confirmed Monday that Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested on one count of assault for punching a female patron outside of a bar.
Earlier Monday, Jones announced on Twitter he had been arrested, probably in an attempt to provide his account before the Cincinnati Police or possible witnesses provide their versions.
Jones claimed he was acting in self-defense, an account his agent, Peter Schaffer, also provided to USA TODAY Sports by claiming Jones hit a woman in the face after she might have thrown a beer bottle at his head.
