A local ABC 6 news crew in Providence, Rhode Island, was attacked by an agitated woman in broad daylight on a public street. The assailant, the mother of a woman whose daughter was shot and killed at a graduation party, was being interviewed regarding the news that the alleged shooter had turned himself in. Rather than answer the reporter’s questions, the woman attacked her with rocks, a baseball bat, and her attack dogs.

The assailant, identified as Melissa Lawrence, said that it was “good” that the alleged 16-year-old shooter had turned himself in to police. She quickly flew into a rage and assaulted the camera crew and reporter.
