3 Killed In Shootings Across Chicago Overnight

Three men were fatally shot in as many hours on the South and West sides overnight.

Around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, a gunman opened fire in the 5600 block of West Washington Boulevard in the South Austin neighborhood, striking a 29-year-old man, Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The shooter fled on foot with two companions, leaving the 29-year-old bleeding from the head, police said.

The man was taken in critical condition to Loyola University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
