Roland Martin On TYT: Trayvon Martin Could Be This Generation’s Emmett Till (VIDEO)

Cenk talks to TYT panelists Jayar Jackson, John Iadarola, and Jimmy Dore as well as TV One’s Roland Martin about nation-wide reactions to the George Zimmerman verdict. “This case, the death of Trayvon Martin, I believe can potentially serve as the Emmett Till of this generation,” Martin declares, referring to the 1955 murder of a 14-year-old black boy in Mississippi, which has been cited as a strong motivating factor in the Civil Rights Movement. “There are thousands of young people who are ready to mobilize and organize… I think there’s a moment here where we can actually have a twenty-first century social justice movement that will be beneficial to the rest of this country.”
