Elderly Women Found Bound, Gagged In Detroit hHome

Detroit — Police are on the lookout for three men who broke into a home Monday on the city’s west side, beating and robbing two elderly women whom they left bound and gagged in the ransacked home.

According to the Detroit Police Department, the incident occurred at about 3:10 a.m. in the 2500 block of Pingree Avenue in an area between 14th Street and Linwood Avenue.

Police said three men forced their way into the lower residence of a two-family flat.

One of the victims, age 90, investigated the noises and saw the robbers inside her home. One of the men clubbed the senior citizen, knocking her to the floor. He then robbed her of personal items. Another woman, 83, in the house, was also robbed.
