Kelly: Michael Vick Could Lose His Job To Nick Foles

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said Monday that quarterback Michael Vick is “day-to-day” with a hamstring injury, and Kelly refused to commit to Nick Foles as Sunday’s starter against the Buccaneers in Tampa.

On Sunday, Kelly had said the hobbled Vick would remain the No. 1 quarterback even if he couldn’t play, but on Monday Kelly said a permanent switch could be made “if someone comes in and puts on an unbelievable show.”

An MRI Monday morning revealed that Vick suffered a pulled hamstring in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Giants, Kelly said.

Kelly added: “We have not made any decision on who our starting quarterback is going to be next week. It depends. I don’t know until we see how it goes. I’m not going to predict the future. I don’t know where we are with that.
