Action-star Vin Diesel, 46, showed a softer side when he gave an emotional impromptu speech about Walker, describing him as his “brother” following a private memorial service on Monday night in Santa Clarita, Calif., at the place where Walker died in a car crash on Saturday.
Using a sheriff’s car’s microphone, Diesel thanked fans, saying, “At this hard time his family gets to see all of you show the love that you’ve shown Paul. It’s going to stay with me forever. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciate him.”
On Sunday, Tyrese Gibson broke down in tears when he visited the crash scene, and later posted a photo on Instagram of ashes and wreckage in his hand, writing: “I will keep your energy with me forever#AshesOfAnAngel fast family around the world we live you and we love you Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever #myhearthurtssobad.”
