Franklin McCain, One Of The Greensboro Four, Dies

GREENSBORO — Greensboro Four civil rights leader Franklin McCain has died this morning.

Bamidele Demerson, executive director of the International Civil Rights Center & Museum confirmed McCain’s death Friday.

He said that he hoped McCain’s legacy would live on for generations to come.

“Franklin McCain will always be remembered as a giant in the Civil Rights Movement,” Demerson said this morning in an interview at the museum. “What he and the students in Greensboro at North Carolina A&T did spread around the world.”
