UCLA’s Black Law Students Struggle With Lack Of Diversity

Black students attending the UCLA School of Law participated in a video, sharing what their experiences have been like attending a mostly white college.

The YouTube video is entitled “33,” representing the number of African-American students there are out of the 1,100 students enrolled.

The participants express the pressure and emotional distress that students of color experience when they are such a low representation of the student body.

“I feel like an outsider constantly, and I don’t feel like at my own school I can solely focus on being a student,” one participant said.
