A 14-year-old girl was charged first-degree murder in the shooting death of Endia Martin, 14. Two others may also be charged, according to Chicago police.
The 14-year-old girl was charged as a juvenile on Tuesday after police said they questioned a person of interest overnight.
Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said two other individuals are in custody and are also expected to be charged.
Martin’s parents, Kent and Joanie Kennedy, said they believe a girl from another school shot their daughter. They said the confrontation stemmed from an argument on Facebook.
