Another NCAA tournament is in the books, and this year’s March Madness will only help student-athletes make a push to receive a share of the profits.
Connecticut’s Shabazz Napier—who was ultimately named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player—caused quite a bit of buzz when he revealed that he doesn’t always have enough money to buy food. With the NCAA profiting off the labor of student-athletes, Napier’s comments didn’t sit well with a lot of people.
