Emmy-nominated actor Meshach Taylor, best known for his role in the hit sitcom Designing Women, died Saturday night. He was 67.
Taylor was in hospice care at his family’s home in Altadena, reported the Times. He was surrounded by his wife, children and mother when he died at 10:47 p.m., his son Tariq Taylor and agent Dede Binder said.
Meshach Taylor was best known for his Emmy-nominated role as Anthony Bouvier, the assistant to the four main female characters on Designing Women. He also played flamboyant window dresser Hollywood Montrose in the 1987 movieMannequin, and starred in Damien: Omen II. His TV series include Buffalo Bill and Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
