Questions regarding Sandra Bland’s mental state at the time of her detainment by the Waller County Sheriff’s office have come to the forefront as the investigation in to the death of the 28-year-old continues.

As a result of a toxicology report revealing Bland had marijuana in her system, the Waller County DA requested that Bland’s body be preserved.

According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, up to 80 percent of African-American women will develop fibroids in her lifetime.
