Leaders of National Civil Rights Organizations Join Managing Editor and Host Roland S. Martin
In Celebration and Tribute to Icon’s Life
WASHINGTON, D.C. – AUG. 16, 2015 – TV One’sNew One Now, the only daily news program targeting Black viewers, is dedicating its entire show on Monday, Aug. 17 (9-10 a.m. ET), to the passing of civil rights activist and leader Julian Bond. Chairman Emeritus and a former Chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Bond passed away at the age of 75 on Aug. 15 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. NAACP executive leaders Cornell Brooks, President and CEO, and Roslyn Brock, Chairman of the National Board of Directors, and National Urban League President and Chief Executive Officer Marc. H. Morial, will join News One Now host and managing editor Roland S. Martin to celebrate and pay tribute to Bond’s life’s work and contributions to the Civil Rights Movement. Additional guests, including newsmakers, politicians and experts, will join the program.
