President Obama Meets With Black Leaders 

President Barack Obama hosted a meeting with Civil Rights icons and Black Lives Matter activists. Brittany Packnett and Rashad Robinson, Exec. Dir. Color of Change joined Roland Martin on NewsOne Now to discuss what was said during the meeting with the President.

Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever from the Exceptional Leadership Institute for Women, Steve Munisteri, Former Three Time Texas GOP Chair and Senior Advisor to Rand Paul, Journalist/Author Sophia Nelson and Angela Peoples, Co-Director of Get Equal also joined today’s dialogue about the President’s meeting with Black leaders.

While attending the Wall Street Project Economic Summit in New York City, Roland Martin, Host of NewsOne Now caught up with Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. and got his take on President Barack Obama appointing a Black woman to the Supreme Court.

Rev. Jackson told Martin, “We need a new Supreme Court Justice who is sensitive to America as America is unfolding and I think the President is right to nominate someone, the Senate has to obviously vet them fairly.”
